During the visit, the Chint Meter East Africa technical team had the opportunity to tour the Chint Meters and Electrical Company Assembling plant, which is a state-of-the-art facility that uses the latest technology to produce smart meters. The team was impressed by the level of automation and quality control measures in place, which ensure that each meter produced meets the company’s stringent quality standards.

The two companies discussed how they could collaborate to produce meters that are specifically tailored to the needs of Uganda and East African customers. This includes developing meters that are compatible with the local power grid, and incorporating features that are relevant to the African market.
